CGA provided wayfinding services for the Canadian Museum of History (formerly the Canadian Museum of Civilization).

Services included detailed environmental analyses, staff focus groups, evaluation of wayfinding materials, and a website analysis.

CGA then developed an exterior and interior wayfinding masterplan and performed exterior and interior sign planning, exterior and interior You-Are-Here map design, museum-overview map design, and exterior and interior sign design. Signs have not yet been fabricated and installed.

The Canadian Museum of History is Canada’s most-visited museum. Its primary purpose is to collect, study, preserve, and present material objects that illuminate the human history of Canada and the cultural diversity of its people. With roots stretching back to 1856, CMH is one of North America’s oldest cultural institutions. It is also home to the Canadian Children’s Museum, and an IMAX Theatre.
