About the Firm

Carpman Grant Associates (CGA) is a consulting firm that makes it easier for people to find their way around complex sites and facilities. CGA works with organizations all over the map to solve wayfinding problems.

For 25 years, CGA has been dedicated to reducing disorientation in places at all scales from small buildings and sites to large regions. The firm can work with facilities in any economic sector: healthcare, cultural, educational, governmental, commercial, recreational, office, residential, and transportation; and has worked with a variety of for-profit and non-profit organizations and institutions in the U.S. and abroad.

Wayfinding means knowing where you are, knowing your destination, following the best route, recognizing your destination, and finding your way back.  When people cannot do these things, outside or inside, we say they are disoriented. Since disorientation has significant negative consequences, both for individuals and for the organizations that serve them, easy navigation benefits everyone.

There is no shortcut to achieving a successful wayfinding system, but CGA helps its clients follow a logical, dependable path toward this goal through wayfinding analysis, masterplanning, and implementation. CGA offers clients a systematic and comprehensive approach to information-gathering, painstaking attention to detail, and the ability to understand the particular requirements of organizations and their users.

We hope you'll easily find your way around our website to learn more about wayfinding and our consulting services. Please contact us for more details.
